Day 1: Les Bebes Cafe貝貝西點 – Location: No. 10, Lane 295, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106 – Website http://www.lbb.com.tw/
Everything from the service to the ambiance to the meals and drinks to the desserts are made to perfection. For 3-4 people, I recommend ordering a salad or appetizer, 2 courses, and then ordering dessert sets that EACH come with a drink and 3 mini cupcakes or 1 large cupcake. It will be more than enough to share!
Day 2: (pt 1) Kaguraya 神楽家 – Sogo Zhong Xiao Department – Location: No.45, Sec. 4, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Da’an Dist., Taipei City 106, Taiwan – Website http://www.afternoon-tea.com.tw/
This is a mother-daughter favorite. My mom and I come to restaurant at least once every single time we visit Taiwan. Every single member on the restaurant staff is friendly and provides wonderful customer service. What I love most about this restaurant is that the food is delicate and well-proportioned – I have yet to experience a dish that is either overly abundant or unsettling in the amount of grease or oil used.

Day 2: (pt 2) Afternoon Tea – 新光三越 Department Store – Location: 台北市南京西路14號2樓 – No. 14, 2nd Floor, Nanjing W. Rd., Taipei City, Taiwan – Website http://www.afternoon-tea.com.tw/
After getting a later evening hair cut, my mom and I found this restaurant in a department store across the street. It was lit up with Christmas lights and decor and overlooked the street from the 2nd floor. It’s a quaint spot that is nestled behind many jewelry and clothing sections within the mall.
We ordered a Christmas set which included dinner rolls, two soups, two meals, two desserts, and two drinks. Everything was of perfect portions and was definitely plenty for two hungry petite women!

Day 3: (pt 1) Old Tree Cafe 老樹咖啡 – Location: No. 60號, Section 1, Xinsheng South Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan – Website http://www.oldtree.com.tw/
This is a family favorite! My grandmother began taking me with her to this little cafe near her former home when I was in elementary school. I used to despise going into the cafe because there would tables of men smoking cigars, and as a young girl, I was not keen to the smell. However, I loved their tea sandwiches.
They have, since then, transformed into more of a family cafe and have, in my humble opinion, the best coffees and club sandwiches!

Day 3: (pt 2) Tino’s Pizza Cafe 遇見提諾 – Location: Section 2, Jinan Road, Taipei City, Taiwan 100
My younger brother adores this place!
As a pizza fiend, I am still partial to the pizza I am used to and fond of in Southern California; however, I’ll give this restaurant credit for its portions and variety.

Day 4: (pt 1 – dessert only!) Movenpick Cafe – Location: Taipei Railway Station, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100
This cute little cafe is in several locations around Taipei, but after a long day of riding the MRT, we found this in the Metro Mall underneath the Taipei Main Station. I have yet to try their meals, but I give their desserts an A+! I have yet to be disappointed by their delectable treats!
Day 4: Arashi Yama Japanese restaurant 嵐山壽司 割烹料理 – Location: 台北市逸仙路42巷5號 – No. 5, Section 42, Yi Hsien Rd., Taipei, Taiwan
Alright – I need to forewarn you about this restaurant!
Two things: (1) It can be very difficult to find because it is a small location and is hidden between residential areas and a school. (2) It’s pretty EXPENSIVE!
We were invited to a birthday dinner and the host of the dinner seemed to know the restaurant staff well, so just be aware!
Either which way, it was DELICIOUS! I am not sure of what exactly what we ordered (in terms of set name or meal name); however, it was amazing! There were several courses, and they began with a small plate of fruit to enhance your appetite and to give your palette a clean refreshed slate. They slow enriched the flavors with each course and finished with a small treat! It was perfect.
